As a blind musician, I know first-hand the healing properties of music and the happiness jazz brings into the lives of others. Ever since I founded this organization in 1998, the Friends of Jazz has performed in nursing homes, hospitals, area schools and schools that specialize in educating children with disabilities. In 2007, we put on a Talent Probe that enabled three Plainfield middle school students to receive free music lessons.
Located in Plainfield, New Jersey, the Friends of Jazz serves Union and its surrounding counties. Feel free to look at the impact we make as well as our upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.
