1. OFFICE ASSISTANT: Exciting opportunity to give back to one’s community. Provide clerical skills for the Friends of Jazz’s Board of Trustees; assist the CEO to prepare the bi-monthly agenda and taking of minutes. This position requires good communication and writing skills. (Computer skills are essential.)
2. RESEARCH COORDINATOR: Immediate opening for a qualified hands-on person to provide research on corporations, foundations, businesses and banks to assist in the generating of funds; utilizing the internet and other search engines. This position requires working knowledge of the internet and computer skills.
3. PUBLIC RELATIONS SPECIALIST: A business-savvy person who has the “gift of gab” to market and promote Friends of Jazz. Responsibilities include press releases & media relations, special events, TV production. Good writing skills needed.
4. DRIVER: Need a safe, reliable and time-flexible individual to drive the CEO to evening or weekend performances. Also, drive the CEO to view performance sites, to negotiate agreements, to workshops, to meetings, to seminars, and to any social event for disbursement of the Friends of Jazz marketing materials: such as flyers, brochures, tickets, etc.
5. BOOKKEEPER: The Friends of Jazz Accountant and CEO is very much in need of a person with light bookkeeping capabilities to meet approximately twice monthly to pay bills and assist in maintaining organizational financial records.
